Position Overview: 

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Health, Safety, and Operations Specialist to join a Solar PV and Heat Pump company in Leeds. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimising operational efficiency, and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs, policies, and procedures to create a strong culture of safety throughout the organisation.
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Guide the development and implementation of construction phase plans, risk assessments, and method statements for projects.
• Maintain accurate safety records, documentation, incident reports, and safety performance metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to optimise operational processes, workflows, and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings, and implement strategies to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage programs, plan and schedule jobs, and ensure timely and successful project execution.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record of successful health and safety management in the renewable energy or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of local health and safety regulations, codes, and standards pertaining to Solar PV and Heat Pump installations.
• Hold a valid CSCS card (black) with site management certification, demonstrating competency in managing construction sites.
• Possess a NEBOSH or equivalent certification, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of health and safety principles and best practices.
• Prior experience in mechanical, electrical, roofing, or solar PV fields would be highly advantageous, providing a strong foundation in relevant technologies and processes.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to thrive in a challenging and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to different work sites as required.
