Job Title: Full-time HGV Tyre Fitter
Type: Site based

Salary: £45,000 per annum
Benefits: Company van, overtime pay, call-out compensation + Pension
Working Hours:
- Regular Hours: 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
- Call-Outs: After Hours during the week
- Occasional Saturday for tyre checks

We are seeking a skilled Full-time HGV Tyre Fitter to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet’s operations.
Job Description:
Position Overview: As a Full-time HGV Tyre Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the tyres on our fleet of trucks. Your duties will include tyre repair, replacement when necessary, stock management, and ensuring the reliability of our vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:

Tyre Maintenance: Perform routine tyre checks, repairs, and replacements on heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.

Stock Management: Keep track of tyre inventory, ensuring that an adequate supply of tyres is available. Manage tyre stock efficiently to minimize downtime.

On-site Repairs: Respond to on-call requests and call-outs to address tyre-related issues outside of regular working hours. Ensure that the fleet is back on the road promptly.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that all tyre repairs and replacements meet safety and industry standards.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of tyre repairs, replacements, and stock levels.

Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or concerns promptly.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as an HGV tyre fitter or a similar role in the automotive or transportation industry.
- In-depth knowledge of tyre repair and replacement techniques.
- Proficiency in operating tyre fitting and repair equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a company van.
