    Job Title: Full-time HGV Tyre Fitter

    Type: Site based

    Location: Kirkby, Liverpool, Merseyside

    Salary: £45,000 per annum

    Benefits: Company van, overtime pay, call-out compensation + Pension

    Working Hours:

    • Regular Hours: 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
    • Call-Outs: After Hours during the week
    • Occasional Saturday for tyre checks

    Company Overview: Our client is a leading player in the waste industry, dedicated to providing efficient and environmentally responsible waste management solutions. We are seeking a skilled Full-time HGV Tyre Fitter to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet’s operations.

    Job Description:

    Position Overview: As a Full-time HGV Tyre Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the tires on our fleet of trucks. Your duties will include tire repair, replacement when necessary, stock management, and ensuring the reliability of our vehicles.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Tire Maintenance: Perform routine tire checks, repairs, and replacements on heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.
    2. Stock Management: Keep track of tire inventory, ensuring that an adequate supply of tires is available. Manage tire stock efficiently to minimize downtime.
    3. On-site Repairs: Respond to on-call requests and call-outs to address tire-related issues outside of regular working hours. Ensure that the fleet is back on the road promptly.
    4. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all tire repairs and replacements meet safety and industry standards.
    5. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of tire repairs, replacements, and stock levels.
    6. Safety:
      Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or concerns promptly.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Proven experience as an HGV tire fitter or a similar role in the automotive or transportation industry.
    • In-depth knowledge of tire repair and replacement techniques.
    • Proficiency in operating tire fitting and repair equipment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • A valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a company van.
