Job Title:  Junior to Midweight Front-End Developer

Salary: Up to £30,000 (depending on experience) + Benefits

Working hours: 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday

Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester

Our client is a growing digital agency looking for a Junior to Midweight Front-End Developer to join their team.

The ideal candidate should have 2 to 3 years of experience in developing WordPress websites and should be comfortable using the tailwinds CSS framework, HTML, and JavaScript. Experience with GIT or Bit Bucket is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with our head of design and development, 2 developers, and 2 designers to deliver projects.

• Develop and maintain WordPress websites based on design/mock-ups, using the latest standards and technologies.

• Build custom WordPress themes based on client requirements.

• Troubleshoot and debug any technical issues that arise in WordPress websites.

• Ensure that websites are responsive, accessible, and optimized for search engines.

• Transfer websites from one server to another and manage domain settings.

• Use GIT or Bit Bucket for version control and collaboration.

• Stay up to date with the latest technologies, standards, and trends in web development.

• Demonstrate excellent people skills when communicating with clients and other team members.

Requirements:

• A degree in IT-related fields/Web Development or equivalent experience.

• At least 2 to 3 years of experience in front-end development.

• Experience in developing WordPress websites and building custom themes.

• Knowledge of PHP is required.

• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience using the Tailwinds CSS framework is preferred.

• Familiarity with version control systems such as GIT or Bit Bucket.

• Good understanding of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Technical SEO experience.

• Previous experience in managing domains and transferring websites from one server to another.
