Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Non-Domestic Energy Assessor to join our team. As a Non-Domestic Energy Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting energy assessments and providing recommendations for improving energy efficiency in non-domestic buildings. Your expertise will contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in various industries. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of energy management principles and regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Perform energy assessments and audits for non-domestic buildings, including commercial, industrial, and public sector facilities.

• Collect and analyze data related to energy consumption, equipment efficiency, building materials, and occupancy patterns to identify energy-saving opportunities.

• Utilize energy modeling software and tools to simulate energy performance and calculate potential energy savings.

• Evaluate existing systems, equipment, and infrastructure to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements for energy conservation.

• Provide recommendations for implementing energy-efficient technologies, renewable energy sources, and sustainable practices.

• Prepare detailed reports summarizing energy assessment findings, including energy usage breakdowns, potential savings, and return on investment.

• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to develop energy-efficient building designs and retrofit plans.

• Stay updated with relevant energy management regulations, industry standards, and emerging trends to ensure compliance and provide accurate advice.

• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify compliance with energy efficiency measures and resolve any issues or concerns.

• Assist in the development and implementation of energy management strategies, policies, and programs for organizations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Non-Domestic Energy Assessor or a similar role, with a strong background in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainability practices.

• In-depth knowledge of energy management principles, energy regulations, and standards (e.g., ESOS, ISO 50001, BREEAM, LEED).

• Proficiency in using energy modeling software and tools, such as IES, EnergyPlus, or DesignBuilder.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify energy-saving opportunities.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical concepts and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.

• Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and comprehensive reports.

• Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• Experience working with diverse clients and stakeholders, including businesses, government agencies, and property owners.

• Familiarity with building systems and technologies, including HVAC, lighting, insulation, and renewable energy systems.
